if you look on the left iconbar you'll find a link that says events follow that and you'll see the list of upcoming events (its also listed on the right sidebar under the title upcoming events).

you can post a reply to the session you're interested in to mention that you'll attend it, it is not required but it helps us guess how many people will show up and be prepared.
