I've delivered linux CDs to Al Sakia cultural center a few days ago, They welcomed to act as a distribution center.

The following distros are available there:

  1. Mandrake 10 Official (4 CDs)
  2. Fedora Core 2 (5 CDs)
  3. Arabbix 0.8 (1 CD)
  4. Knoppix 3.4-2004-05-17 (1 CD)
  5. Morphix Gaming 0.4-1 (1 CD)
  6. Morphix Light GUI 0.4-1 (1 CD)
  7. MandrakeMove (1 CD)
  8. Gentoo 2004.1 x86 (2 CDs)
  9. Debian stable aka woody 3.0r2 (7 CDs)
  10. Slackware 9.1 (2 CDs)

I'll try to keep them updated with the distros as much as I can.

Thanks to the Sakia people.

Thanks to all those who contributed CDs.

Thanks to all those who suggested the distros.

RedHat DekTop

Hello,

We are missing RedHat Dektop in the list, I have it, and I have some other special use distro. We do not we open a poll, and see if there is any1 needs something else I can even download it on demand

Fair Enough.

RedHat? Yechhhhh. :p

But yea, we need a new poll and this might be a good idea, see if we're missing anything people might want. Now if only I can phrase the poll aptly...

Tell you what, take a copy of RedHat to Sakia and give it to Khaled Mohsen or Ayman Noubi there; tell them you are from EGLUG, and that this is an additional distro for them to distribute. That's all you need to do. :) If you're coming to the meeting on 03/07, you can do it then. How bout that?

Good we meet there

What about RedHat ES 3.1 as well, I have it , but if some1 wants to test it, and then erase it

and Some other specific usage like RedWall, Cooperative linux , Mandrake MNF, LinSpire used to be know somewhere in time with "Lindows", Suse FreeBSD or may be some stuff from http://www.linuxforkids.org/ and Oracle 10g for linux

I'm sorry for listing all the distros, but Im confused, and I do not know the direction or distro prefered by the gang

I will have the CDs in the meetin any way, and Open CD v.14 Kind Regards Kernel The Canine

The Gang and its Direction

The gang includes you and your direction helps shape the overall direction. The only stipulation is that the distro be free in both senses; is RHES free?

Any and all distros (ultimately) are welcome; I think we need to provide the people at El Sakia with a listing of the relative merits of their distros :)

Thanks for your help, Canine; looking forward to seeing you there
