Slamo Alikom, do any one have a working Fedora Core 5 CD1?? Cuz I have download it two times from two different mirrors and still have the same problem, they are not working. And now I have two bad CDs :(. So I'm unable to install it. However the rest of the CDs, the other 4 CDs, are tested ok. Thanx for help Aiman |

Woops my mistake
you got to check for the sha1sum ( not md5sum )
the checksums are SHA1 sums, not MD5 sums
open this link: http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/core/5/i386/iso/
see the file: SHA1SUM
it has all the sums for the disks

CD 1 is always corrupted
Can you check the md5sums of the ISO ?
If it doesn't work. we can search for a proper CD 1 or choose another installation method ( hard drive or network server installation method )

FC5 CD's works fine with
FC5 CD's works fine with me I downloaded it from a mirror in turky .
any way as pronco said try to install it from hard drive.
1-burn small boot iso you can find it in cd1/images/boot.iso 2-boot with it and mount your iso img or the cd1 folder
It should work fine .

guys..the man is asking for working CD = someone has working CD ,arrange with him and give him the cd .. meanwhile,Aiman ..Can check the lug distributers list for someone who has the Fedora Coore 5 . Thanks
