I've started to learn python some time ago - actually it is too simple to be learnt - as I wanted to know some dynamic - scripting - language beside C. So it will be nice to give an intro to python if there are people interested in it. Actually I've no presentation prepared now, but I think I can manage to prepare one if needed.

Python is an interested
Python is an interested language, I would like to learn it some day. Great and inspiring opensourced MVC frameworks (like RubyOnRails, TurboGears, Django) has been developed based on it.
So, if you prepare an intro presentation, I'll be in for sure.

so we can nezelak for the rest of your life muwahahahaha
actually the ability to edit comments is one of the worst features in forums, it means the community has no memory at all, people can change their words and confuse arguments, maybe if drupal implements revisions for comments we can reconsider it.

Ruby on Rails
AFAIK Ruby on Rails is the Ruby response, for the ability to use Python in web applications.

myself
As I have attended a previous python-intro session given by whirlpool, I'd be more interested in a how-things-get-done-with-python session. Things that would make me favor python over other similiar open source languages.
And as being interested in web, I'd also love to see how django or other python cms/framework(s) work, because being based on python, I expect they will be different than other cms/frameworks(s) written on other similiar languages.
Previous Python-Intro session
May I ask for the previous python-intro session to be given again.

Maybe this time we can
Maybe this time we can discuss something like the combination Glade/PyGTK/Python for easy-and-rapid development of cross-platform sotware with GUI (something along the lines of VB but way better and as easy).
Great
It's great to see all these ideas, and yes I think some GUI will be fine however I prefer Tkinter as it is included with python by default
