hi please i'm asking how can you help or guide me to built a thin client system or to give me a pointer to a document or a specific guide concerning thin-client, already i searched google but i didn't get the main concepts or what hardware/software needed, also i searched this site and i got a broken link to a session discussing this technology at the FOSS conference, ( http://alaa.devcabal.org/files/conference/day_2_session_3/ )

thin clients are typically built using something called Linux Terminal Server Project, there are livecd distros and normal distros designed as LSTP servers out of the box, might help you a bit.
Mandrake/Mandriva has a different approach to thin clients using cluster-nfs, they provide a wizard to help configure the server (I used this to implement public access terminals at a public library in Abu Al Nomros).
Mandriva TermServ is documented @ The Mandirva Linux development Wiki and @ The Mandriva Community Wiki
the Linux documentation project has two oldish HowTos, maybe they're still valid.
thin clients can also be buil using VNC or FreeNX.
FreeNX looks promising but there is little existing experience and documentation.
cheers,
Alaa
