I'm enjoying a nice little flamewar with a M$ employee on my blog.

he is trying to argue that breaking internet standards is acceptable and is all the users fault anyway.

thought you might like to know.

the link CONTAIN WORDS VIOLATING the AUP.

The question is: Is it acceptable to post URLs when you know that this URL might violate the AUP ?

No.

  1. The page linked to is not an explicit shock site, remarkably obscene, indecent or pronographic.
  2. Alaa linking to this blog post is not intended to break the AUP.
  3. If so, you linking to your website violates the AUP, as there are words that violate the AUP inside it.
  4. The post is a little bit offensive to M$ employees, and this is something we favour here in EGLUG.(tongue-in-cheek)
  • May be just putting the phrase (Link contain words that might violate AUP) beside it would be a good solution.

Even so I feel it is not necessary to add such phrase.
